Enjoy pairing six glasses of different French wines with six kinds of cheese, along with freshly baked bread at this cheese and wine party in Roppongi. The wines on offer will be a mixed selection mostly from the South of France, including red, white, rosé, sparkling, and cidre; and the variety of cheeses on offer are sourced from France, Italy and Ireland. There’ll also be an informative talk (in English) by a wine specialist on how to match wines with cheese. Space is limited to 40 people, and there are 10 VIP spots available (guarantees you a sofa seat and a glass of Champagne Premier Cru).

Enjoy pairing wine and cheese in an international atmosphere

国際的な雰囲気の中でワインとチーズを楽しみます

You will taste 6 kinds of good French wines from a mixed selection (mostly from South of France): Reds, Whites, Roses, Sparklings and 2 Cidres.

Those wines will match our 6 kinds of Cheeses.

A wine specialist will teach you ( in English ) how to match Wines with Cheeses. 

Cheeses line up:

Cheese

Aiglon aux herbes ( France, Vosges ): from Affineur Cyrille Lorho, MOF 2007 .  Made from a mix of cow and sheep milk. Aged around 6-8 months and coated with a combination of peppercorns, peppers, and aromatic herbs. The inside is distinctively creamy and just melts in the mouth. 

Muffato : (Italy ):  meaning ‘mouldy’ in Italian, is made from pasteurized cow’s milk, made by Moro Latteria di Moro Sergio, Veneto, Italy. The cheese is matured for a few weeks on wooden planks made up of fir trees. The rind is wrapped with mint, verbena and thyme plants and aged for 3 to 4 months that gives herbal taste to the cheese. The interior paste is sweet, grassy.

Cashel ( Irland ) : Hand made Farmhouse cheese made by the Grubb Family on Beechmount Farm near Cashel, Co. Tipperary.  Cashel Blue was developed by Jane Grubb in early 1980s and has become a well know international handmade Blue Cheese, and Ireland’s most popular Blue Cheese.

Quader de Cavra ( Italy ): A soft cheese with a washed rind that is obtained from full cream goat’s milk. Carozzi selects the milk from the Lombardy Region because historically the rearing of goats has deeper roots. The rind is smooth, thin, soft and pinkish yellow in color. The pale white paste is slightly soft and rubbery. The taste is rich and sweet, yet slightly acidic with a mild taste typical of goat cheese. After 35 days of maturing in Pinewood boxes the cheese is ready to be consumed.

Buffaloto ( Italy ): Soft cheese, produced in the best tradition of making washed cheeses in Bergamo. The paste is elastic, soft, especially in proximity of the crust. The color is pale, with small holes.

Les Maîtres Comtois ( France ) : A range of soft cheese made in Franche Comté ) by the Milleret cheese dairy, from cow’s milk of Montbéliarde breed.
